چکیده
Abstract Herein, a novel sandwich-like α -ketoglutaric acid Schiff base-aminated chitosan composite ( -kGl-AmCsSB) was fabricated by reacting and aminated chitosan. The as-fabricated -kGl-AmCsSB inspected diversified characterization tools to determine its morphology, surface charge, chemical composition as well define the linkage pathway between -kGl AmCs. SEM images demonstrated spongy network of AmCs with interconnected pores structure which turned quite rough due free amine groups Notably, XPS FTIR spectra suggested group experimental results implied superior adsorption efficiency Congo red (CR) onto since maximum capacity q max ) reached 434.78 mg/g at 25 °C pH 3. Based on kinetics data, CR followed pseudo-second-order model. Furthermore, D-R model infers that occurred via physical interactions E value < 8 kJ/mol. recyclability test implemented for five cycles R% > 72%. More importantly, mechanism proposed discussed. Ultimately, exhibited advanced performance toward along excellent reusability. these results, we recommend more modifications exploiting remarkable advantages applying it large scale.

Removal of Congo red from aqueous solutions using nano-Chitosan
It is now recognized that adsorption using low-cost adsorbents is an effective and economic method for water decontamination. Chitosan is derived by deacetylation of the naturally occurring biopolymer chitin which is the second most abundant polysaccharide in the world after cellulose. In this study, the capacity of the chitosan nanoparticles was studied for the removal of the anionic Congo red...

An alomina-based nano adsorbent was prepared by modification of the external surface of γ-alumina (γ-Al2O3) nanoparticles with functional groups of a new Schiff base 4-[(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-benzylidene)-amino]-5-methyl-2,4-dihydro-[1,2.4]triazole-3-thione] “L”. In order to the removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solutions, we used the reaction of the sodium dodecyl sulfate coated nano-alumina with L...

Here, new N,N′-dipyridoxyl(4,4''-diaminodiphenylether) Schiff-base ligand has been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR and mass spectrometry. Also, geometry optimization and theoretical assignment of IR spectrum of the ligand have been computed by employing density functional theory (DFT) method. Two pyridine rings and benzene rings in the bridge region are not in the same plane. The ca...

متن کاملPreparation and characterization of Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposite and its application for removal of Congo red
Montmorillonite/ZrO2 nanocomposites were prepared by the sol-gel method underultrasonic irradiation. The montmorillonite was incorporated into Zirconium gel. After stirring for 24 hr, the mixture was irradiated for 30 min under ultrasonic irradiation. The filtrated composite gel was calcinated at 400°C for 3h in furnace. The morphology of prepared catalysts was characterized by field emis...
